Google's Chromecast device for Bitcasa
With Chromecast, you can easily enjoy your favorite online entertainment on your HDTV—movies, TV shows, music, and more from Netflix, YouTube, Google Play, and Chrome. No more huddling around small screens and tiny speakers. Chromecast automatically updates to work with a growing number of apps.
I think it would be a great idea to add Bitcasa to Google's Chromecast to allow the end user to stream movies or music from Bitcasa Infinite Drive.
Sending files to ChromeCast should be possible without have to open them before!
The "send to ChromeCast" button should be located in the menu where the share button is.
If there are more than one ChromeCast located, then a pop-up should open where you can choose the stick to send to.
Hey all – quick update here, we have this working on Android and the Web App in a development environment. Unfortunately, we have not been “whitelisted” by Google at this time. They remain in “Developer Preview”, with no defined end date, meaning we can’t release until whitelisted. Will keep you all in the loop on this as soon as we hear anything!

Currently this doesn't work very well. A video works in an asynchronous way, its sent to the Chromecast and then plays on loop until something else connects to kick it off. There is no control of something while its playing and doesn't support sequential playback. Please could you mend these bugs and support DLAN play to and release an Xbox one app

Great news about Chromecast now available on Andriod devices, but what about iOS? Do you guys have a release date set yet?

After my last update (Bitcasa Android) I've noticed an icon for chromecast. This is awesome!!!
Will you ever support google chromecast?
Still no updates?
Ok, I'll move to RealPlayer Cloud, that already has Chromecast funcionality...
By the way: you'll get 1 GB free added to your account if you click on https://cloud.real.com/r/O4S4YP
Still waiting for that bitcasa streaming app that was ready to go in October. Come on bitcasa team. Let us play with the beta. :)
Do you really expect that we still trust to the story about the whitelisting? Now Google had open the SDK so please give us an update about the real status. I try not to comment what I think about this sentence: "we have this working on Android and the Web App in a development environment."

Any new updates?

So now that everything is opened up, and the wait is over, is this still in the works? How long should we expect for this to roll out?

Yes the SDK is open now https://developers.google.com/cast/
I believe the SDK is now open. So let's get an ETA on this.

Any news on this now that Google has introduced a large group of new whitelisted developers such as Plex?
Thank you Behnke!
Great news! Very pumped about this feature. Google has been being very slow to allow Chromecast streaming from 3rd parties... Not sure why they are holding everything up. Plex has had the same issue.
Hopefully they will get their **** together soon. Thanks for all yalls work to bring this feature!
I am glad its started! Once they release the chromecast APi this will make bitcasa worth every cent

I just received my Chromecast and I think having this option would be invaluable. It would really be a 1 up on the competition.
Great news! Chromecast for Bitcasa is on the way! Check it here:
